Marisa Prolo began dancing at the age of three at The Dance Club in Orem, Utah. At a young age, she performed as a Child of Light in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, dancing nightly at the medal ceremonies. After moving to San Clemente, California, she continued her ballet training under the direction of Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky. During her time with them, she competed at Youth America Grand Prix and Tanzolymp in Germany, earning Top 12 in the classical category and contributing to multiple Studio of the Year awards.
In 2008, Marisa had the opportunity to travel with the Radio City Rockettes for their Christmas Spectacular. She later joined the San Clemente High School Dance Team from 2009–2012, winning multiple National Championships. In her senior year, she placed in the Top 5 USA National Soloists, competing among more than 200 dancers.
Marisa went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Dance, with an emphasis in Production and Choreography, from Brigham Young University–Idaho. Her performance career has taken her around the world to China, Panama, Costa Rica, New York, Chicago, Iowa, the Bahamas, and beyond. For the past three years, she has been teaching at Moga Conservatory in Utah, where her studio was awarded Studio of the Year at Youth America Grand Prix.
Now back in California, Marisa is thrilled to continue teaching and to share her passion for ballet, jazz, contemporary, and more.
