B.A. in Dance – California State University Fullerton

Sunday began her dance training in 2013 at The Studio Performing Technique Dance School in Amador County, where she studied ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and hip hop under the guidance of Cara Agustin, Sue Brumet, Kate Allen, Lucia Fanelli, and Caitlyn Rubini.

She was an active member of Kids on Stage, a performing troupe that showcased dance at community galas, fundraisers, and demonstrations. Through these experiences, Sunday discovered her deep passion for both dance and performance.

In 2018, Sunday attended the Hubbard Street Dance Theatre Summer Intensive in Chicago, where she trained in works by renowned choreographers Alejandro Cerrudo, Crystal Pite, and Peter Chu.

In 2021, she helped establish a children’s dance program at Sage & Tansy Wellness Studio in Amador County, an experience that sparked her enduring love for teaching.

While earning her Dance degree at California State University, Fullerton, Sunday studied ballet, modern dance, composition, improvisation, and dance history. She trained with esteemed faculty members Alvin Rangel-Alvarado, Debra Noble, Lisa Drasocvich-Long, and Muriel Joyce, and explored works by Trisha Brown and Talley Beatty. Her choreographic talent was featured in CSUF’s Spring Dance Concert, where she presented an original piece.

Sunday is grateful to be part of the FOCUS Dance Center faculty, where she cherishes the energy, creativity, and supportive community. In addition to teaching at FOCUS, she shares her passion for dance at several community centers throughout Orange County.
